A Human Library: Central Library Takeover

This year Refugee Week has evolved to become the Coventry Welcomes Festival!  As a part of the celebrations, the Coventry City Council Migration Team  is proud to present ‘A human library’, taking over Coventry Central Library for the whole week.

There are so many organisations across Coventry who work in partnership to support refugees, migrants and the wider community to feel more welcome and get more involved in their community through the services they offer. Come and join in with creative activities where you can both learn about what these projects and organisations do, as well as interact and engage with people about their experiences – our ‘human library’.

Representatives will include: Coventry Refugee & Migrant Centre, Positive Youth Foundation, CU Social Enterprise and Central England Law Centre.

Dates: 17 – 21 June, 10am – 3pm each day

Location: Central Library, Smithsford Way, CV1 1FY

ℹ️ Coventry Welcomes is aimed at promoting a more inclusive image of a city with a diverse population. The festival will follow the national theme “You, Me and Those Who Came Before” as an invitation to explore the lives of refugees – and those who have welcomed them – throughout generations.
